Stage Five "Mercy"
This is day five of the blog series, “Ten Days Through The Stages of Life.” The series is intended to bring us through the Ten Stages of Life as defined by God’s word through Complete Peace. God has given His people the map, the Bible, to their journey and we are here to facilitate its reception. God has been gracious enough to give us His word written in our language to read, meditate on, and receive in His truth that transforms His people’s lives into what He has designed them to be from the foundation of the world. The person of God lives on the Stage of Life they are experiencing until they finish all Ten Truths of the Sage; then, they live in that Stage while they are on the next Stage until they complete its Ten Truths. Complete Peace is, “Drawing a court case for God and painting a portrait for His people.”
The Fifth Stage of Life, the true life in God, is the Stage of Mercy and is found in the Gospel According to John’s account of the signs and miracles that Jesus performed. John’s record states, “But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.”
Mercy is simply defined as having compassion on someone that it is within one’s power to perform vengeance.
.
The first Truth in the Stage of Mercy is, "Jesus turns water into wine." Jesus took empty vessels, had people fill them with water, and turned the water into wine. He does the same thing in His people’s lives. He takes their emptiness, washes them with the water of the Word, and gives them eternal life through placing His blood in them; which is symbolized by wine.
The second Truth in the Stage of Mercy is, Jesus cleansed the Temple." Jesus drove sheep and ox sellers out of the temple, turned over the money changers’ tables, and told the sellers of doves not to make His Father’s house a house of merchandise.Jesus purged the worldly wealthy merchants out with a cord of whips, he turned the money changers tables (lives) upside down, and He told the poor people who sold doves to stop doing what they were doing. He knows what level of assertiveness every person needs to rid them of idols and fill them with Him.
The third Truth in the Stage of Mercy is, "Jesus healed an officer’s son." Jesus showed God’s power by healing the child from a distance. Although it may seem like Jesus is at a distance sometimes in people’s lives, He is always right beside them willingly able to heal them as our Father instructs Him.
The fourth Truth in the Stage of Mercy is, The Pool of Bethesda healing. Jesus healed a man who was “born all together in sin” instead of condemning him, the religious leaders wanted to kill Jesus because He did it on the Sabbath. and the reason Jesus did it on the Sabbath Day was to show those who could receive it what active rest is.
The fifth Truth in the Stage of Mercy is, "Jesus fed 5000 men with five barley loaves and two fishes." Jesus healed a man who was “born all together in sin” instead of condemning him, the religious leaders wanted to kill Jesus because He did it on the Sabbath, and the reason Jesus did it on the Sabbath Day was to show those who could receive it what active rest is.
The sixth Truth in the Stage of Mercy is, "Jesus walked on water." Jesus knew He would startle His disciples by doing something they were not expecting; thereby exercising their faith and bringing them more to life.
The seventh Truth in the Stage of Mercy is, "Jesus healed a man born blind." All people are born into this world spiritually blind, and Jesus opens His people's spiritual eyes so they can see God’s works and tell others.
The eighth Truth in the Stage of Mercy is, "Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead." Jesus knew Lazarus, a friend of His would die, and waited to go to him, so He could raise him from the dead by calling his name in a tomb occupied by more than just him. Jesus did this to allow His people to see their Father’s powerful sovereignty.
The ninth Truth in the Stage of Mercy is, "Jesus is Risen." Jesus and His people are separated from the constraints of the flesh and set free to live their lives with their Father because He is risen and shows His people the way.
The tenth Truth in the Stage of Mercy is," Jesus caught 153 large fish." After Jesus’ resurrection, He assisted seven of His people, who had unsuccessfully fished all night, to catch one hundred fifty-three large fish. Upon arriving on the beach, the disciples realized Jesus had cooked them a beach side breakfast; thus, showing He will teach His people how to fish and also feeds them.
This Stage of Life is completed with God's people receiving His mercy and it flows through them. Living a life of flowing mercy opens God's people's lives into deeper understanding and they are one Stage of Life closer to receiving Complete Peace in Earth.
