The greetings/introductions to each of the New Testament books reveal who Jesus is, His leaders are, and who the church is individually-collective, and this blog series is to help us understand how that allows God’s people to receive revelation into a deeper relational existence than they had prior to knowing this amazing map of our journey that He has given to us.

The greeting of the book titled Revelation’s greeting is, “The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John: Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw. Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.”

The first statement that I will mention today is, “The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants” This states the separation and knowledge of the Father to the Son and then to His people as clearly as it can be shown. This is definitely allowing God’s people to know exactly what their relationship is.

The next phrase that I will write about today is, “Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy,” God lets His people recognize the truth and share it with others. The blessings that are received from the gift of reading or hearing this prophetic message is what leads His people into His complete truth and therefore His Complete Peace. Once God’s people know the truth intimately and are resting in His completion, as this series has revealed to them, the perspective of their lives has changed, and there is nothing to fear, but everything to give praise and thanks for who He is and not necessarily what the people will receive; although the gifts from Him are amazing.

The last phrase that I will touch on today is, “and keep those things which are written therein:” This, “keeping of the things that are written” can be extremely pressing to a person of God who is just beginning their journey as they know it, but after they have received the revelation of God’s love, grace, and mercy, the striving to attain will cease, and the flowing of His gift of the automatic response to His love and the security that it gives will flow through His maturing people during every moment of their lives proving what He has done in them.

Tomorrow starts a new blog series. Come back tomorrow, and see what it is
