ACTS
God's plan working through His people by the Holy Spirit

 

• Luke wrote this letter after he wrote the Gospel According to Luke

 

• Two resounding statements in the book of “The Acts of the Apostles” in word and deed are: “And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house” and “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth”

 

• Acts shows how God spreads His gospel through His people by many ways. Some ways are enjoyable to the flesh and some very difficult including martyrdom

 

• Signs and wonders abound in the "Acts of the Apostles"

 

• People are healed, translated from one place to another, brought back to life, see heaven, are made blind, and even killed by God's power to demonstrate His power through His people and direct their paths

 

• These and many other things happen to bring His people from every socioeconomic group home to Him
